acorns and oak trees
how long does it take for acorns to appear after you plant an oak tree? i live in zone 7-although this is a general question.

What a great question! I had to look this one up. The average age for oak trees to produce acorns is anywhere from 12-20 years of age. It depends on when the tree reaches sexual maturity. Once they start producing, remember that the heaviest yields come in years when times are tough: not enough rain and too-high temperatures.
