Bushy Tomato Plants, No Flowers
We put out our tomatoes mid-May in Ohio, and they've really taken off - great healthy-looking plants, about 2 feet tall (Celebrity & Oxheart varieties). Our peppers are starting to get buds, but tomatoes aren't yet. I've read that too much nitrogen or overwatering can cause tomato plants that grow big but never produce. It has been raining a lot here this season, so I'm concerned that we might be "overwatering" without watering at all! Is it just too early for flowers on tomatoes?

Well it's doubtful that the rain is causing this. It's more likely the cool spring temperatures are holding them back. These tropical plants really need hot weather, particularly at night, to develop flowers and fruit. They should kick in, once the weather warms."
