blossom on zucchini rots and zucchini dies
My Zucchini and crookneck plants produce fruits that get a few inches long and then the blossom dies and the fruit dies. I have cut back on watering . What could be causing this problem?

Blossom-end rot is a routine problem with these vegetables. Are they lying on the ground without any mulch between the fruit and the soil? If so, place mulch in between. Salt can also cause it. When you water, water thoroughly to flush salt away, but let the soil dry out in between waterings. Next year, plant in a different place, and do not use high-nitrogen fertilizer.
