Willow dripping sticky sap ?
Hi! My weeping Corkscrew Willow is dripping a sticky sap? I did find some black small bugs on the tree. I wonder which came first? The Bug or the sap? Is it normal for a willow to drip sap, just like the Maple tree, or is it from the bugs?

It's hard to say exactly, but aphids do produce a sticky sap called honeydew. I would try to capture some of the insects and take them to your extension service or garden center for identification.I'm betting you have aphids, but can't be sure. Aphids, by the way, are easy to eradicate with an insecticidal soap you can buy at most garden centers.
