Help select perrenials for difficult spot
I have a roughly 17 x 10 garden in my front yard, near the street. Direct eastern exposure, however, garden is flanked by two maple trees .... so a good portion is shaded, with sun in the middle. No sun in afternoon until it has risen completely over our house. We live in Crystal Lake, IL . Looking for perennials that will thrive with 'some" sun ... but also be low maintenance. This is a showpiece area which we have left to overgrow and are ripping out the whole thing

Hi, I suggest you go to the Plant Encyclopedia on this website and plug in all your planting criteria and it should give you a planting list.
