Transplanting 2 year old rose bush
I live in zone 5. When is the best time of the year to transplant a 2 year old rose bush? It was trimmed down short this year in the Spring after the Forsythia bloomed but it sprung up over 5 feet tall by July/August! I dead head it down the stem to the next 5 leaf group. It's been fertilized during summer. I have to move it because I didn't realize it would get as big as it did although I'm not complaining - it's a beautiful "Tahitian Sunset" tea rose and keeps blooming buds n buds.

The best time to move your rose would be late next winter or early in the spring while the rose is still dormant.
