Pruning
Our Candelabra rose bush has just bloomed with big, beautiful roses and now some of them are spent. They grow at the end of a cane forming like a fork and each of them with a rose on it. Lots of roses! What's the proper way of pruning or deadheading them? I would like to avoid an overcrowded bush, and cane crossing that can cause disease.

You can simply deadhead the spent blooms now. Wait until early Spring next year to prune out old canes.
