"Hi
Climbing Don Juan rose is listed as being hardy from zones 6 through 11. So, it should be fine in your garden, unless you live in a colder mini-climate within zone 6. As far as insects go, no one rose variety is more insect resistant than others. It really comes down to what insects you have in your area and what their population density is in your backyard. Also, it helps to keep a watchful eye on your plants to catch any damage before it gets out of control."
