Cob Webs on Plants
I have cob webs on lots of my plants. I have sprayed with insectiside soap and used a broom to take off the webs. They keep returning and are taking over my garden. HELP!

The critters that are building those immense cob webs on your plants are actually tent caterpillars. The name "tent" comes from the webs, which they actually use to shelter themselves as they devour the leaves of your plants while on the inside of the web. You have a couple of options... You can prune off the webbed branches and burn them, or you can tear open the webs and spray inside with a biological control called Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis). Of course, the caterpillars would still have to be present for the Bt to do any good.
