Satsuma trees
When is the best time of the year to plant satsuma trees?

Satsuma trees (Citrus reticulata) are usually grown in large pots and can be planted at any time. If you wish to grow them in  a container transplant into a very large container as soon as possible. Use a loose free-draining soil mix. These evergreen trees do best in full sun. They  produce flowers in spring and the fruits usually ripen in fall. They are quite hardy, but must be protected indoors or otherwise if the temperature drops much below freezing.
