Adding stuff to vegatble garden soil
For a few years I have been adding things to my garden soil. Coffee grounds, egg shells, and last fall my food garbage. Are any of these things bad for my soil?

All the items that you mention are compostable, and will eventually break down and add organic matter to the soil. The one caution is with animal-based food products. They can attract unwanted wildlife (or pets) that may dig in the garden in search of the decaying  animal-based food. It's best to stick with plant-based products to add to the soil.  (The eggshells should be fine as long as they are thoroughly rinsed first.)
