Bugs Eating Potato Plants
I have gross beetles on my potato plants. They are eating the leaves of my potato plants and seem to be multiplying at an alarming rate. I have a garden- no other plants seem to be affected. Can you help?

Are these large, striped beetles? Colorado potato beetles can quickly devour potato plants. The University of Kentucky has a fact sheet with pictures of the adult and larvae at http://www.ca.uky.edu/entomology/entfacts/ef312.asp. You may be able to control them by hand picking them off your plants. Chemical sprays such as sevin or spinosad are also effective.
