What are the pods on the amaryllis stems after there Blooms have gone?
amaryllis I have in my front yard that bloomed in the late spring here in Okla. I transplanted them from gifts in Dec. They bloomed really well each year. This year it seems after the blooms there are big pod looking things on the end where the blooms were. Like the size of lemons. Is this always like this I have never noticed this before. Thanks RB

Hi, Those are seed pods. I'd remove them so the plant puts more energy back in the bulb instead of seed production. Since most varieties are hybrids the seeds aren't worth messing with.
