Thanks for writing. The question you've asked isn't nearly as straightforward as it might sound. The answer really depends on the size of the pot (bigger pots need less watering), if the plant is in sun or shade (sunny containers need more watering), the quality of the soil mix (some potting mixes dry out faster than others), how windy it is (wind will dry it out faster), etc.
I suggest sticking your finger in the potting mix and getting a feel for it that way. You may need to water every day, every other day, or even twice a day, depending on the above factors.
