What happened to my stalk of the Orange Star Plant?
I just received a Orange Star plant (Ornithogalum dubium) it has been inside, indirect sunlight. One of the flower stalks just bent over and broke, it's kind of sticky where it broke, what caused this to do it? I took the foil wrap off the plastic pot, the soil is damp.

In indoor light conditions, the flower stalk of Ornithogalum or other flowering bulbs may elongate excessively. They prefer bright conditions or outdoor light intensities. When the stem becomes elongated, it may become top heavy and break. You can stake the stem to prevent this or place the plant in brighter light. The stem is sticky because of the plant sap that oozes from the broken area.
