Low Creeping Ground Cover That Will With Stand Salt?
I live in a rural area (zone 5) and there is a small ditch from the road into my front lawn that we mow. Every winter when the snow plows I get rocks from the shoulder in the ditch which is very difficult to rake out every spring. I would like to put landscaping material and rock to eliminate the problem. I would like to plant low creeping ground cover, but I am not fond of evergreens. Is there another low creeping ground cover that will with stand the salt from the winter plowing?

Several possibilities for you include dianthus, woolly yarrow, liriope, and various sedums. These plants all prefer full sun and good soil drainage.
