Orchard bark striped by horses
I have a orchard where horses have striped the bark off the trees. I have a Horticulture degree so I presume the orchard is TOAST, what do you think?

Hi, If the horses have completely girdled those trees they are most likely going to die. With all the bark gone, the tree won't be able to move food and water up and down it's trunk because the important cambium layer is destroyed. I have this same problem this year in my orchard, but it was caused by rabbits during a particularly snowy winter.
