Plant combinations with potted ficus
I plan to replant my ficus in a larger pot. I was thinking of putting a smaller plant of some sort around the edge of the pot with the ficus. What do you suggest? During the summer, the ficus sits in the sunny corner on our screened porch. In the winter, it is in our breakfast nook beside a large window on the same side of the house as the porch where it sits in the summer. We live in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.

Hi, I would suggest you underplant your ficus with a golden pothos. It's also a houseplant so can take the move indoors in the fall with no problems. And, as long as the sun doesn't beat down on the plant, it should be o.k.
