Can I gather seeds early Spring?
Notice today while cleaning up yard that there are some dried marigold pods still on last years plants that have seeds in them that still looking good.Plants are gone but the dried stems have a lot of pods still.I did gather a bunch the end of last season and stored them to grow this year but will seeds from those as well as other flowers still be good after winter? I live in South Bend ,IN. Thank you-

Hi,

Thanks for writing. Marigold seeds should survive the winter fine outdoors if they didn't rot in the seed pods. So go ahead and plant them --- they should grow.

Thank you Justin, figured I would leave them for the birds but will give some away.
