Landscaping in a washed out area, that rain runs over, poor drainage.
What can I do for a washed out area with no grass, only dirt with two long hedges on each side, area is 15 feet by 10 feet. has two trees right in the middle, one a crab apple tree; the other a large crepe myrtle tree? I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Thanks for writing. If the area washes out from heavy rains, etc., you might consider building a dry streambed to direct the water --- it will collect the water and channel it all in one place. Or you could dig down the area so it becomes a depression and grow moisture-loving boggy plants there.
