Can you plant bulbs in the spring?
Submitted by ireplane

Thanks for writing. It's best to plant spring-blooming bulbs in the fall --- they put out their roots in autumn and the cold temperatures help them initialize their flowers.

You should plant summer-blooming bulbs such as dahlias, callas, and cannas in spring after all danger of frost has passed.
