We just purchased some large ball and burlap trees but cannot plant them until our house is finished being built (probably sometime in the fall). Will they survive through the summer if they stay wrapped up, as long as we water the root ball?
They can survive if you keep them constantly moist. It will help if you can store them somewhere that doesn't get lots of direct sun. It also helps to mound wood mulch over the root balls, to reduce evaporation and keep them cool.
