what home remedy can I use on my house plants that I have had outdoors to kill any bugs, fungus, etc., before I bring them inside? I don't want to contaminate my other indoor plants.
Thanks for writing! There's not a one-size-fixes-all product out there, I'm afraid. But for most insects, cutting them back, washing them in a strong stream of water (from the shower or garden hose), then cutting them back, and finally, spraying with an insecticidal soap should do the trick. When spraying, remember to get the tops and bottoms of leaves --- and to follow all directions on the packaging.
