Flowering shade ground cover/low plant

Hello. Under the “Shade Garden Ideas” by Kelly Roberson within the "Charming Canopy" http://www.bhg.com/gardening/landscaping-projects/landscape-basics/shade-garden-ideas/#page=10, what are the light blue flowers (ground cover?) in front of the variegated hosta toward the foreground? Thank you, Tina

Thanks for writing. The light blue flowers in the photo are woodland, or crested iris (Iris cristata). It's a North American native iris that loves shaded conditions.
