Cucumber blossom end rot

My cucumbers dry up and fall off when they reach about 1", otherwise they are beautiful plants and blooms. I have tried calcium supplements, which I use 2-3 times a week. The other vegetable plants in the garden are doing well. What is the problem and what can I do about it? Zone 8

If your cucumbers are drying up when just 1 inch long, they may not be getting pollinated. Have you seen bees or other pollinators active on the blossoms? If not, you may need to hand pollinate by transfering pollen from male flowers early in the morning to the female blossoms that have the initials of small fruits at their bases. Extreme heat and drying winds can also cause fruit abortion.
