Small shade perennials

Are there small hostas and shade other perennials I can use for a narrow 3.5' x 20' shaded area (Zone 6),next to our garage that is unsightly for our neighbors. I would need to include some stepping stones or pavers to walk through.

Yes, there are many shade-tolerant perennials that would work in this site. Some hostas are as small as a quarter; others spread 5 feet across, so you should be able to find almost any size you need. Heucheras, pulmonarias, ajuga, fringed bleeding heart, and lamium are just a few others that would work.
