When should you remove plastic domes from flats of seedlings??
I started a bunch of seeds this month (mostly annuals, some perennials, no veggies except for a few ornamental kale), & most are sprouting nicely. They're covered with plastic domes. I read on 1 website to remove the domes once the seedlings are a couple inches high, but another website said to remove them once the seeds sprout, period. Which is right?/at what point should the domes be taken off??
Remove coverings on seed starting trays as soon as the seeds have sprouted. Excess humidity under the domes can promote fungal diseases such as damping off.
