I have several carpet roses, but the last couple of years they have not done well. Should I be fertilizing them, and if so what is the best product. I believe they get plenty of water, I have a sprinkler system. Thanks!!
If the area where your Flower Carpet roses are growing has never been fertilized, it's possible that they may need some. Without a soil test to base recommendations on, though, it's just a guess as to what kind and how much to apply. However, an all-purpose fertilizer such as 10-10-10 or one in which the first number is lower than the others should be pretty safe to use.
Are the roses in full sun? Lack of adequate light is often a cause for poor bloom.
