What landscaping methods camouflage an unused driveway?

My upstate New York backyard driveway is uneven, cracked and never used. It measures 10 feet wide, 18 feet long and receives over 8 hours of sun. Low cost options are a must so removal or replacement is not desired. I'm certain innovative and artful ways to camouflage the space exist, however, the best options I see are to create more, deeper cracks to hold groundcover plants or frame the path and fill with stones, and then place found objects. What wonderful schemes am I missing?

You could also place container gardens or develop raised beds on top of the old driveway.
