Can I move plants in the Fall that were planted in May and need more sun.

I live in VA and planted tickseed and blanketflower but they are not doing well because they need more sun. Can I move them in the fall? Thank you. Chesapeake Virginia

Hi, It's not the best time to transplant them (early spring is best for these species), but if you move them with a lot of soil around their roots and water them in well, they should be fine. However, you might just want to wait till March or so and move them just as they begin to show new growth.
