How do I make homemade hummingbird nectar?

I saw a recipe last summer, I'm not sure where and I thought it was one of your magazines, on how to make homemade hummingbird nectar. I think it was 1 cup of sugar to 3 cups of water, then boil it and allow it to cool to room temperature before putting it in the feeder. Thank you very much, Judith Harvey

This recipe is from the National Zoo:

Directions for making safe hummingbird food:

Mix 1 part sugar with 4 parts water and bring to a boil to kill any bacteria or mold present.
Cool and fill feeder.
Extra sugar water may be stored in a refrigerator.
Red dye should not be added.
