Can a Hosta be potted and grown as an indoor plant? My thought is that since it is a shade plant, the low light indoors would work for it but I have never seen it done.
Hostas don't last long as indoor plants. Although they are shade plants outdoors, the light intensity in shade outdoors is usually at least 10 times brighter than a typical indoor room. You may be able to get a hosta to survive in a sunroom with full sun all around.
Another factor is that hostas go dormant in winter, so they would not make a good year-round indoor plant.
