My husband is in the military and consequently, we move every two to three years. What is the best way to create a container garden that will grow quickly but won't break the bank when we have to empty all of our pots for our next move and start over again?
Hi, Well my first suggestion would be to use lightweight plastic pots that can set inside each other. That way, you won't have to transport heavy terra cotta or glazed pots that can also break. Then, I supposed I'd stick primarily with annual flowers such as geraniums so that you can replace them inexpensively when you move. I would not pot up any trees, shrubs, roses, or perennials if you plan to move again soon. I'd focus on annual flowers, vegetables and herbs.
