how to take care of easter lillys
Keep a purchased potted Easter lily in a cool, bright location to prolong the bloom period. If the plant is not yet blooming and needs to be speeded along, place it in a warm location (room temperature or higher). Keep the soil uniformly moist but not soggy.
You can plant the bulb outdoors after danger of frost has passed. Place it at the same depth that it is growing in the pot. Cut off faded blooms as they die back, but leave all the foliage intact. The bulb may bloom again this year, but more likely not until next summer in the garden.
