Wild Onions invading flowerbeds

How do I get rid of wild onions? They are taking over my flower beds. Most weed killers only stunt their growth. They are thicker this year than they were last.

I'm sorry to say that there's no easy solution to controlling wild onions, especially in flower beds. Most herbicides that stunt them are labeled for use in turfgrass, not in flowerbeds. Even when digging them out, it's difficult to get all of the bulbs, so some may resprout. However, that may be the surest solution. Persistence and thoroughness can get them under control.
