Zucchini taking over garden

I planted zucchini in my raised vegetable garden and it seems to be taking over the entire garden. Is there any way that I can cut back the leaves without killing the plant. The plant is producing nice vegetables but my other plants are not getting enough sun light for them to ripen. Thanks so much for your help.

Zucchini plants sure thrive in the summertime, don't they? You can prune zucchini vines to restrain them. If you remove just leaves and leave the vines unpruned, you're likely to starve the plant.
