Tomatoes

"Is there a better type of tomato to grow in the northeast, Connecticut? I planted early girls last year and it was not a great harvest. Thanks, Sandy"

"Hi
Early Girls are a good all-purpose variety that should do very well in your area. If they didn't perform for you, it's likely you have some other issue going on in the garden. Perhaps they didn't get enough sunlight or your soil wasn't too fertile. I can't guess without knowing more. For other varieties, check out our Plant Encyclopedia for tomato variety options."
