Tomato leaves & buds shriveling up

My tomato plant is growing tall and healthy, the upper 1/3 part has now started shriveling up, leaves, buds and all.It had adequate water and sun. I cannot find any pests or eaten spots on the plant. The leaves are curling inward and seem almost hairy, not like a mold, but like a thin layer of white hair. Thank you!

Thanks for writing. Tomatoes are very susceptible to a wide range of diseases and it sounds like there may be one attacking your plant. Without being able to see it in person, though, I'm afraid I can't say which disease it may be. If you can take a few sample leaves to the folks at your cooperative extension service in your town, the agents should be able to give you a better diagnosis after examining the leaves in person.
