squash

I was wondering if i could remove the bigger leaves on squash? Will this hurt them produce? I planted a little close to one of my tomato plants and was wondering if they will grow together, i don't want that to happen. please help thanks kevin niesen

If you remove just a few leaves of your squash plant, you'll likely see no reduction in yield. However, cutting off leaves will not be good for the plant, and if more than a few are removed, you'll likely get fewer squashes.
