Spindly tomato plants

My tomato plants are fairly tall and skinny. They have lots of blossoms and the starting of tomatoes, but the plants don't seem to be as full as usual. Since it has been very dry here (Erie, PA) I water every other night and have fertilized once with the correct amount of Miracle Grow for vegetable plants. What is wrong?

If you’ve grown tomatoes in the same spot year after year, your soil might be getting depleted of organic matter and nutrients. I’d recommend a granular slow-release fertilizer and a 2-inch layer of compost or shredded leaves. Miracle Gro is terrific for a quick boost, but your plants will benefit from having fertilizer available whenever they need it.
