Should I cut the seed stalks out of my rhubarb or leave them alone?

Should I cut the seed stalks out of my rhubarb, or leave them there to send strength to the plant?

If you like the flowers, you aren't required to cut the stalks; flowering does not affect the flavor or edibility of the rhubarb plant. However, most gardeners cut down the stalks before the flowers bloom so more of the plant's energy remains in the roots to help produce more leaves and edible stalks.
