Removing tomato leaves

"Is it recommended that you pull off the bottom leaves of tomato plant after they have started growing & have blooms? Is it helpful to remove a lot of the foliage?"

It's best to leave as much foliage as possible on tomato plants to produce more fruit. Possible reasons for removing the foliage would be to create better air circulation (to prevent disease development) or to remove already diseased leaves. However, it would be better to simply plant the plants farther apart to get better air circulation.
