new to gardening/raised garden building....

i want to build a raised garden, how do i start. and how much can i expect to spend on such a project?? I was thinking about a 6 x 6. I live in a mobile home park so space is sparse. I heard of some gardeners using a frames to plant cukes. which i might try this year also. thanks for your guidance.

Here's a story on building raised bed vegetable gardens, and here is another. Costs will depend on what materials you chose to use. You may be able to find landscape timbers for a couple dollars a piece, while pre-fab raised bed kits may run a couple hundred dollars.

Cucumbers can be grown on an A-frame trellis. The fruits hang down into the center of the A-frame, making harvest quite easy.

make sure to use non-pressure treated wood as frames, otherwise you'll harvest arsenic laden veggies, and we've been exposed enough already in the store bought foods/juices/meats as it is. it is a cummulative poison.
