leaves are hanging on tomato plants

"Hi, I started my tomato plants indoors from seeds. They grow very nice. About two weeks ago I transplanted them in big containers with regular soil and mulch. If I keep them indoors they do fine, but I tried to put the containers outside in a sunny spot, the leaves hang down within 5 minutes. (the plants are about 15 inches tall now). Should I still keep them inside and when are they ready to go outside?"

It's time to move the plants outside. But you'll need to do so gradually to harden off the plants. Move them to a shaded location out of direct sun and wind for an hour or so the first day. Gradually increase the amount of time outdoors so they acclimate to the harsher conditions. After a week or 10 days, they should be ready to take full sun.
