I sprayed vegetable plants with a systemic insecticide

Dear Garden Experts, I was stupid enough to spray my cucumber and tomato plants with Bonide Systemic Insect Control 941(acephate-9.4%,other ingredients-90.6%).The label clearly warned against its use on vegetables.I did not only sprayed the entire plants but also poured some solution on the roots.Are my plants poisoned forever or there is hope for the poison to wear off?If so,how long would it take before harvesting and eating vegetables would be safe again?
