cucumbers won't grow
when I plant my cucumber seeds they come up and are about an inch or so tall then they stop growing. This has happened two years in a row. What's wrong?
Cucumbers need heat to grow well. If weather conditions are cool, they'll just sit there until it warms up. They also need well-drained soil. If the soil is too moist, they could be developing root rot. If cool temperatures might be the problem, you could cover them with a floating row cover or cloche to trap heat around the plant and warm up the soil. Using black plastic mulch will also help in that regard.
