corn in the desert
Well there's not much you can do to help a plant once it's been hit by hail. All you can do is be patient and hope they recover well enough to produce a crop. Corn is a heavy feeder and requires a fair bit of nitrogen to do well (remember it's a grass and all grasses need nitrogen). Banana peels will add some organic matter to the soil, but what you really should do is add rotted manure or compost to your soil and sprinkle a slow-release fertilizer around your plants right after they break ground in the spring."
