Can you Grow Chives and Garlic chives indoors in the winter?
Submitted by BHGPhotoContest

Thanks for writing. Both of these plants are hardy perennials and do best when they get a period of freezing temperatures over winter. But you can try them as short-term plants for the winter and then plant new ones outdoors in the spring (or harvest from your outdoor plants once they begin to grow). Give chives a very bright spot indoors and water when the soil surface starts to dry to the touch.
