CAN POTATOES BE CONSUMED AFTER THE PLANT HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY WEED KILLER?
we accidentally sprayed weed killer on our potato plants...the plants are dead. Can the potatoes still be consumed?
The short answer is, NO. You don't say what weed killer you used, and if it were some sort of organic or natural product like vinegar, you'd be okay. But common weed killers like Roundup and broadleaf killers are systemic, and you cannot assume that the potatoes would be free of the chemical. So without knowing what you sprayed, I can only say, DON'T EAT THE POTATOES.
