At the end of the harvest, I let my asparagus go to seed. In the spring should I pull all the dried straws or stems out. What is good for the asparagus to yield more?
The old asparagus stems should be removed before new growth starts in the spring. The old stems can carry over diseases and insects from one year to the next, so it's a good idea to get them out of the asparagus patch.
